Thailand is an independent country that lies in the heart of Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the north by Burma and Laos, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and the southern extremity of Burma. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast and Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea to the southwest.
The largest city in Thailand is Bangkok, the capital, which is also the country's center of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities.
Thailand is the largest rice exporter in the world. Thai culture has been shaped by many influences, including Chinese, Lao, Burmese, Cambodian, and Indian. Climate : The local climate is tropical and characterized by monsoons. There is a rainy, warm, and cloudy southwest monsoon from mid-May to September, as well as a dry, cool northeast monsoon from November to mid-March. The southern isthmus is always hot and humid.

Phuket — the original Thai paradise island, now very developed but still with some beautiful beaches. Krabi Province — beach and watersports mecca in the South, includes Ao Nang, Rai Leh, Ko Phi Phi and Ko Lanta.
