Alleppey is a small town located in the district of Alappuzha in the Kerala state of south India. What to See :

Alleppey is well known by the name of Alappuzha. It is also called Venice of east because there was a time when traders came here from seven seas to search black gold and souvenirs.
To attract the tourists there are several major attractions of the place and some of them are the renowned Krishnapuram Palace as it is a palace of 18th century and so is a typical double-storied Kerala building like the ancient times. The backwater cruise can be enjoyed while reaching. Many ferries for public are available to Kottayam and Changanassery.

By Bus :

Travel through road can be a bit dangerous as the roads are very narrow and consume lot of time. The nearest place to drive from is Kottayam.
