City Overview :

Dalhousie is a very splendid snow covered hill station of Himachal Pradesh. It was established in the year 1854 by the Britishers for the purpose of fun and relaxation.
Dalhousie is located along the west side of the Dhauladhar Mountain and is surrounded on and around five alluring and appealing hills. The hill station is around 6000 to 9000 feet above the sea level and its natural and magnificent beauty and glory, cool breezing air, warm sunlight and peaceful surroundings and environment adds to the charming landscape.

There are numerous places of attraction here and some of them are the beautiful and exciting five hills - Kathlog, Portreyn, Tehra, Bakrota and Balun, stretching to an area of 13 sq km and the main center is at Portreyn. Dalhousie is surrounded by many fun filled exciting places inside and outside. Chamba Valley, Khajjar and the Pangi Valley are very exotic.
Some of the popular places constitutes of Panjpulla (2Km.), Bara Pathar (4Km.), and Dainkund (10Km.), Dalhousie has also got historical churches like St. John's Church, , St. Francis' Church, and St. Andrew's Church.

By Air :

The airport is Gaggal (Kangra) 135 km away from the city but the nearest and the other is of Amritsar which is 191 km far.

By Train :

The railway station located near by is Pathankot, at 80 kilometers down the hill.

By Road :

The buses are running between all the states and cities covering almost every place. Therefore the road transport of Himachal is very good.
