What to See :

As Haridwar is a holy and pilgrimage destination it has got a numerous places of attractions like the Ghats on the bank of river Ganga which purifies the soul and its presence adds to the charm of the place. You can also visit a great historical statue of Shiva at the bank of river and it's a must to see that statue and the temple which is situated at the top of the hill. The city is a neighbor of other holy places which consists of Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath.
Rishikesh is approximately 28km away from Haridwar and it will be a wonderful experience as it is the where the holy river Ganga comes down from the fascinating and splendid hills. The exotic Chila wildlife sanctuary which stretches to an area of 240sq.km which has a wide variety of species of animals and mammals.

Haridwar is connected by rail and road and has a well built network with almost all parts of the country.

Haridwar has jolly grant airport which is at a distance of approx 35kms and operates with a number of domestic airlines like indigo airlines, air India and jet airways and offers connectivity with all major cities.
