City Overview :

Kullu is an extremely famous hill station of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley at an altitude of 120km. Kullu is a best destination in summer and is bounded by the Beas river between Manali and Largi. Its renowned beauty covered with fascinating snow covered hills is like heaven on earth. The trees are full of Pine and exotic Deodar Forest and sprawling Apple Orchards is like icing on the cake.

What to See :

Kullu has got a huge variety of exciting places to visit and some of them are splendid Vaishno Devi Temple, Basheshwar Mahadev Temple at Bajura (15 km) from Kullu which is very popular because of its exquisite carvings. The Vishnu Temple at Dayar (12 km)is on the banks of river Beas, is again a must watch tourist destination and is also a good place for trekking and climbing.
One can find Adventurous water Sports also like Angling, swimming and Fishing.
Kasol: A place near the river Parvati is undoubtedly a nice holiday place. The place is commonly known for trout fishing as the lush green grass is separated by the crystal clean water.
Raison: near the river Beas and highway of Kullu Manali is situated a camping spot which runs by the tourism of Himachal. This is perfect destination to enjoy quality time with the loved ones on the holidays and to have a taste of adventure.
Katrain: it is located on the mid of Kullu Manali road. The activity of trout fishing is very famous at this place. Also the green orchards and the activity of bee keeping can be enjoyed. It can be overlooked by 3325 m baragarh peak which is the widest point of Kullu.

By Air:

Bhuntar is the nearby airport at about a distance of 10 km from the south of Kullu.

By Rail:

The nearest railway station is located at Jogindernagar, which is 95-km away from Kullu.

By Road:

Many luxury and deluxe buses move from Delhi and Shimla, the taxi and bus stand is located on opposite of maidan. Bus stand is located near by the river on the north side.
