City Overview :

Mathura is situated 145kms away from the southeast Delhi and 58 kms from northwest. The town of Vrindavan is situated at 12 kilometers and 20 kms from Govardhan. It is the birth place of Lord Krishna at the mid of Brij-bhoomi which is popularly known as Krishna janma-bhoomi. Vrindavan is also a best destination to plan pilgrimage tour. Many old and new built temples can be found in this part.

The place is subdivided into two parts the east and the west part. The east region in this part consists of places like Gokul, Mahavan, Baldeo, Mat and Bajna and the west part includes like the Vrindavan, Govardhan, Kusum Sarovar, Barsana and Nandgaon.
The other attractions of the place are the Krishna janmabhoomi, Jai gurudev Ashram, Dwarikadheesh Temple, Mathura museum, Bhooteshwar Mahadev Mandir and Vishram Ghat.
A very popular twin-city of Mathura is Vrindavan and the temples are of Banke Bihari Temple, Rang ji Temple and Iskcon Temple.
