Summers are very hot, temperatures in the summer months can touch 44 degrees Celsius with May and June being the hottest months. Rains are spread over a month from early July and humidity levels at this time can cause uneasiness. The winter months October to February are cold and dry and the minimum temperatures can go as low as 3 degrees Celsius in late December and January. Heavy woolens are ideal during this time and can give a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment.

The magnificent havelis are worth visiting. many havelis have intrinsic wood work with rich architectural sculptures in the city. The Calico Textile Museum is also to be seen while on a visit. The sunrise and sunset points are beautiful to see from the top of the hill. The Nakki Lake and places like guru shikhar and temples are the other attractions of the place.

By Train :

It is the best way to reach Mount-Abu. The main rail head is the Mount-Abu Cantonment linking to the other cities and states. Trains from Rajasthan arrive at the Mount-Abu Fort Station to the city.

By Road :

From Delhi it is at a distance of 195 kms and many public buses and air conditioned coaches move between the states. The bus stand is at Idgah from where the buses can be taken for Jaipur and Delhi. .
