City Overview :

The beautiful Tirupati city lies in the southeastern part of the Indian state Andhra Pradesh. It is located at a distance of 152 km to the North West from Chennai in the palkonda hills and in the chittor district. It is holy and religious place and has a famous temple dedicated to lord venkateshvara and is also called "lord of seven hills".

What to See :

The magnificent temple is situated at an altitude of 853m or we can say 2800ft above the seal level on the top of the hill called Tirumala. It is a combination of seven hills and is known Venkatachalam or Seshachalam.
There are several other fascinating places to see such as charming and divine Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple, Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple, Sri Govindrajaswamy Temple and Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple along with appealing Lepakshi Emporium.
Papavinasanam which is about 5km away to the north from the temple and Akasa Ganga which is at a distance of 3km to the north from the temple are again a must to see place of attraction for tourists and both of them are dazzling waterfall.

Getting There :

By Air :

Though the closest airport from here is Renigunta airport which is at a distance of 15 kms but it is linked with Hyderabad and because of this the preferred airport from here is Bangalore Airport.

By Train :

The railway station here is located in the heart or center of the city and has an excellent network of trains connecting it from almost all the cities of the country.

By Road :

It has a very well connected network or road through many private and local buses which links the city from Tamil nadu and all other neighboring cities of the country.
