Vadodara was formerly known as Baroda. It is a beautiful and peaceful city in the state of Gujarat. Vadodara is highly populated after Ahmedabad and Durat. It lies on the bank of river vishwamitri and was previously the capital of gaekwar state. It is a religious city and has beautifully carved temples.

By Train :

Vadodara has a series of railway stations which makes the journey very comfortable and fast and the railway stations are Pratapnagar, Vishwamitri, Makarpura, Bajwa and vadodara junction which is the main railway station here. Tourists can get direct trains for Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi from here.

By Road :

The city is linked with national highway 8 connecting from gandhinagar and Delhi which links the city with Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
